Advocating Artist

This was my result from taking a personality test at PersonalDNA. I love personality tests! I always get the same thing over and over again, well I'm supposed to. Oh! And try moving your cursor over each color. You'll see something!

It felt like the results were laid out in front of me already as I was answering the questions. They're just worded it wisely.

According to PersonalDNA...

I am an Artist My appreciation of beauty, ability to think
abstractly, and innovativeness make me an ARTIST. Never one to be tied to a particular way of doing things, I let my imagination guide me in discovering different possibilities. I would rather seek out new experiences than stick to my everyday habits, taking in as much of the
world as possible. My eye for beauty and my willingness to consider different perspectives make my creative efforts interesting—even though I may not realize this myself.

I prefer to think about things before voicing my opinion, considering a wide, diverse range of
options. While there are forms and styles that I prefer, I tend to keep an open mind when it comes to my artistic preferences. I am curious about things, interested in the "why" more than the “how.” I have an active imagination that leads you express myself in a distinct way. I do my own thing when it comes to clothing, guided more by practical concerns than by other people's notions of style.

You are Advocating Being social, empathic, and understanding makes you ADVOCATING. Some people find being around others exhausting—but not you! You are energized by spending time with friends, and you are good at meeting new people. One of the reasons you enjoy conversation as much as you do is that you often learn about yourself while talking things out with a friend; you realize things about your own beliefs while discussing them with others. You have insight into what others are thinking and feeling. This ability allows you to be happy for others, and to commiserate when something has gone wrong for them. You are highly compassionate, and being conscious of how things affect those close to you leaves you cautious about trusting others too hastily. Despite these reservations, you are open-minded when it comes to your worldview; you don't look to impose your ways on others. Your sensitivity towards others' plights contributes to an understanding—both intellectual and emotional—of many different perspectives. As someone who understands the complexities of the world around you, you are reluctant to pass judgments.

I highlighted words that I think appeal to the true me.

My subconscious mind is driven most by Reserve

Take this test!
You approach the world with your guard intact because unconsciously, and perhaps consciously, you want to maintain an element of control in your relationships with people. You tend to hold your private experiences just out of reach of others. You're not one to immediately show all your cards, to let people into who you really are until you're ready.

Unfortunately, that sometimes means you also hide things from yourself. You may find that your desire to remain guarded backfires, affecting your self-awareness. Why are you like this? It's possible that you act in this manner because of a deeply-rooted fear of being exposed, or of truly expressing yourself. To protect yourself from this fear, you act in the opposite manner — you are guarded.

There is a certain respect that comes with resistance, an unconscious understanding that the human psyche is very vulnerable. We all feel we have a lot to hide, and you are not one to be intrusive or thoughtless about how you approach sensitive topics with others. Therefore you inspire a sense of safety in others when they are around you. Your psyche is very deep, very rich, and the more you can let yourself know (both the good and the bad), the more you will be able to appreciate who you really are.

six

Take this test!
Gimme five... Psyche! Ah, 6, you're so gullible. Probably because you're such the Loyalist—very trusting. Cheer up, your friendship is rarer than a faithful politician. And if there were more 6s out there, the world would be a better place. Only problem is, once you've been burned, your trust flees the scene like a scared rabbit. As a result, it's possible to come off a little cold and standoffish. Bad first impressions might stick with you. And if people don't pay their share of a dinner tab, it might taint your view of them as potential friends. On the other hand, your BS radar is one of the sharpest around. That's why you may prefer shooting pool with friends instead of jockeying for position at the local singles' night. As a loyal Number 6, you're short on pickup lines and long on eye contact. If you find security within yourself, you might become less affected by the mistakes of others. So if you find a little extra support in life, you'll be well on your way to joining the ranks of other famous 6s: Michelle Pfeiffer, Jay Leno, Tom Hanks, and Julia Roberts.

six...again...scary...

Hopeless Romantic =_=''

Take this test!
For richer? For poorer? It doesn't matter to you because you're the Hopeless Romantic. Whether your sweetie is an oil baron or a grease monkey, it's all about until death do us part.

Even if you haven't met "the one," you'll judge your soul mate by the love letters, roses, and foot massages — not the size of their bankroll. And even if their wallet is as fat as their sonnet collection, the toughest part of your relationship will be arguing over which charity to choose, who loves whom more, and who's the bigger Schmoopie. And if that diamond ring turns brass, no biggie — your love is totally not-for-profit.
