Summer Flashback: Meeting Strawhat Pirates in Times Square, Hong Kong (One Piece Docks At Hong Kong)

Anyone who have watched or read One Piece before would recognize right away that you're staring right at Sunny Go (for those of you who are not familiar, this is the pirate crew's newest ship).  I didn't look up any events prior to coming to Times Square, at least not until I saw THIS! (By the way, One Piece is my favorite Anime/Manga even though I stopped reading/watching)

During my stay in Hong Kong, I was just strolling pass Times Square one day, and I saw something huge and bright ahead of me. When I got a closer look at it, I screamed, "OMG!! IT'S LUFFY'S FLAG!! OMG!! IT'S SUNNY GO!! AH!!".  How in the world did the ship sail all the way here?!?! How could I have missed this?! There was a very long line to board the ship and take pictures with the things they had to offer on Sunny Go. I tiptoed and tried to get a peek at what they get to look at, and I only saw the ship's wheel and Nami's personal orange tree (plastic of course). I figured there was nothing much to see, and it was a very hot day. If they had offered a display of the aquarium, which was on the actual ship in the story, then I would have hopped right in line. Who would miss out on THE aquarium inside Sunny Go? There had to be more to this exhibition...so I had to explore! Sure enough.....what I saw next was the most adorable crew member....

Taiwan: Ferris Wheel on Dream Mall

Summer passed by so quickly, and I've been so so so busy with school and trips! One of the places I went to during my summer vacation was Taiwan!! Yay!! I am so lucky to have the trip fit perfectly between summer school and beginning of Fall semester! I'm actually very busy with school, so posting this took a while... Back to Taiwan~ I went to so many places, ate so much food(no luck with gaining weight, but oh wells), saw so many things, took so many pictures! I can't possibly fit everything in one post.

One of the things I'd like to share is my experience at the Dream Mall in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. It's the biggest mall in Taiwan, and even East Asia! I was super excited to go! When I later found out that the Ferris wheel on top of the mall featured My Melody, I went totally nuts!! I could never pass over this opportunity being a My Melody fan. Not only does the mall have a Ferris wheel on top, but they also had Sanrio characters as a theme!! Super awesome!

Cooking Kinpira Gobo

There was a time in April when I was alone at home for weeks. I had to step it up and get myself cookin'! One of my biggest flaws? Laziness! And no, I'm not proud of it.....I thought this was a great chance to make things I like, and try to cook food I've never tried before! Did I ever mention I absolutely LOVEJapanese food?? Well,

626 Asian Night Market

Lack of posts lately, I know! I've been soooooooo busy with school and other things. I wanted to do a post on something that happened a while ago ( yes, over a month or more). If you live in LA, you might have heard about it before, or even participated. There was an event called 626 Asian Night Market, which basically tries to mimic the night markets in Asia, like in Taiwan or Hong Kong. There are supposed to be food vendors along a big street..but this one seemed to be quite small compared to the ones in Asia, due to the fact that the planners didn't foresee the CRAZY amount of people going there. There was a huge hype about it thanks to the power of media.

As you can see in the following, we were stuck in traffic, and we weren't even in the city that was holding this event...we were in the neighboring city. It normally takes 20 minutes to get there, but it took a little over 2 hours....imagine the crowd that was waiting there. See the traffic light turning green? We're still not moving.

Oh, look the light turned yellow! But, only ONE car got to cross! Actually, it might have been just stuck in the middle of the intersection...

Strange Nightmare

I just woke up from a strange nightmare. So I'm going to type it all out before it slips out of my memory. It's going to get sort of messy and jumbled up from here. There was a checkpoint point where people pass through before they leave hte place(I can't remember what kind of place it was...shopping mall?no... library?no....I can't remember) I was with my dad and a few other people that are not in my real life(made up people). Sometime before the checkpoint, some guy gave my dad a human finger with a huge ring on it and says it must be worth a lot.....so my dad puts it in his backpack. There were many people who were about to approach the check point with us. The moment my dad passed the checkpoint it beeped, but no one but me notices. The lady that was over

Usoko Maker: My Cells Are Composed of...

Ready for a super random post?
I actually discovered Usoko Maker a long time ago, but I think it's fun to do it again since I forgot my results. It also seems like they have many cool additions。I find all the makers so addicting. I think this is a good place to record my interesting results. Here's some of the maker results that I got:

When you zoom into my cells(細胞), you can see that it is composed of "優柔不断", which means indecisive. I

I'm just going to combine outfit and food post together! It's much easier this way :) His sister is making wacky faces while I'm just being normal. We were in Hollywood! It was my first time being in Hollywood! It was kind of scary...I felt like someone was gonna rob me any moment...but since it was daylight and there were so many

Bottega Louie

Macarons from Bottega Louie
It's been a while. I meant to do this post a while ago because we came here a while ago. But, better late than never. I remember we were stuck in downtown LA, not knowing where to go to eat. There were just so many options. Then, it hit him that his friend told him he should try this place called Bottega Louie. We headed for Bottega Louie. There was valet parking, which means you have to pay fees. It was six dollars. The moment we
